昨天无意见看到海侧卫贴在论坛上的Paul Wilson的F-16降落指南，正好没事看了一下，受益匪浅。我之前也和他一样，用另外一种system来降落，还要时刻注意速度-150-160节，攻角(AOA Angle Of Attack)-13度，下降度，飞行路径标识(FPM Flight Patch Marker)-指着跑道尽头，下降角度-2.5度。。。。。太难保持他们的平衡了，加上F-16腿软，还容易跳起。后来Paul Wilson找到了另一种System来降落，这就容易很多了，所有技巧内容这一张图就能说明：

从图上看，就这么几点：
- 起落架放下，空气刹车打开
- FPM指向跑道尽头
- 下降角度(glideslope) -2.5度 (那个水平虚线)
- AOA括号被下降角度2.5的虚线平分
除此以外，你根本不需要担心其他的数据，速度，降落速度，高度，全都会自动调整到他们应该的值，保持这个姿态，然后touchdown的时候，稍微拉一下，也就是flare，需要很轻，同时油门全收，这时候飞机就会牢牢的贴在跑道上，最后gun sigh指向+10度用来空气减速就好了。

Windows Mobile Smartphone上有个很酷的功能 - Internet Share，Samsung Blackjack用USB连上laptop后，手机上打开Internet Share连接，电脑上什么都不用设定， 就能在任何有电话信号的地方高速上网（具体说明）。当初那帮白痴Sales告诉我EDGE比3G快一倍左右，实测快10倍。下载有100多kb/s的样子(通过http://mobile.surrealnetworks.com/测试出的），价格也算合适，$19.99/m，比较起Verizon和Sprint一个月$60好多了(我去AT&T卖手机算了，哈哈)。

最近就觉得laptop连着条线到手机，怪麻烦的，正好也支持通过Bluetooth方式连起来，于是找了一个USB Bluetooth Adapter, 装上Driver, 很不错，能传文件，能通过bluetooth同步(ActiveSync)，可就是说明上提到的Personal Area Network上无法探测到手机，但同样方法在Windows XP上都没问题。后来Google了一下，哈哈，发现这么多人在一条船上(AT&T support Forum上的一条帖子)，有人提到这个MSDN上的Blog Post：Why did we remove Bluetooth DUN? 这个完全没关系，只是有提到Internet Share功能有多好，没有打算用DUN (Dila up networking)连接。接着又有人说Toshiba Bluetooth Stack可以解决这个问题(大半人是Broadcom的WIDCOMM芯片), 于是有人换了Toshiba的Driver，说解决了，但大半人说还不行。还有人说用0000当passcode可以解决，试了，也不行。最后有人说用Toshiba Stack的Driver修改inf文件可以解决，有空再试吧，成功了再更新这里。

顺便发点Smartphone上有用的东西：

• Goosync : 让Smartphone上内置的Calenda与Google Calendar同步。
• Google Map: 跟网页版功能一样强大，支持GPS，找地方，找路线，看堵车情况，卫星地图。
• Gmail Mobile: 手机上的Gmail Java app, 一般用内置Email App用IMAP方式连，这样收到Email可以提醒，但复杂操作还是用这个。
• Fring: 能上多种IM软件(MSN, Yahoo, Skype, Google Talk...) 重要的它是支持语音，你可以用Fring在手机给你在Google Talk, MSN上的朋友直接语音通话了。

1. Write out a daily task list and plan your day. There’s nothing like a task list sitting next to you to keep you focused. When you have a list of the things you need to accomplish in a day, having that close to you constantly reminding you of what needs to be done is a great way of keeping on track.
2. Allocate time slots colleagues can interrupt you. In a busy work place, people are moving and talking all the time. If you play a role in a team where others need to interact with you, try allocating a time slot they can interrupt you. Instead of having people stop by your desk every 10 mins and asking you questions, let them know of a time in the day, say between 2-4pm you can be interrupted. At all other times, you can really get some work done.
3. Apply time boxing. In a previous article, I wrote about the benefits of time boxing. Instead of working at something till it is done, try working on it for a limited period, say 30 mins. By that time, the task is either completed or you allocate another time slot, perhaps in another day, to pick it up again. This way, you keep your work fresh and engaging throughout the entire working day.

在SitePoint Blog中看到一篇Post讲他接Sales Call的经历, 那个Sales上来就是"How are you doing" 接着就开始念那些广告词, 最后被挨了一句"Stupid", 还有好多人回复他们的关于Sales Call和Marketing的经历, 大概就是说电话打的不在乎多少, 而在于效率, 以及怎样的Approch更能让人接受并开始建立起关系, 觉得挺有意思的. 我的边上就坐着一个Sales, 每天都在听他到处打电话给客户, 不过都重复一样的话. 虽然有cubical间隔开, 但还是够吵的.

也许不同行业的Sales有不同的方法吧, 这个Post中是针对推销Web Development Service的, 每个客户都有不同的需要, 少打几个电话, 与客户建立起更深一步的关系更重要. 但manufactory可能就不一样.或者Sales之间也有分工? 一个人负责撒网, 大面积的搜索, 接着再由另一个人开始与感兴趣的客户建立关系? 不是很懂这些Marketing的东西.但只要Approching不要太奇怪, 冷冰冰, 千篇一律就好.

Windows Live现在开始提供个性化域名给你的Hotmail服务了. 也就是说,如果你有自己的域名, 比如我有个网站www.Virtualfly.net这样我就可以把这个域名捆绑在Hotmail Mail server上, 然后就可以拥有一个类似Werther@Virtualfly.net的Email地址, 而且使用的不是那些空间商提供的破Email信箱, 而是Hotmail的信箱. 优点吗? 自然是拥有所有Hotmail的稳定便利服务. 还有如下特点:

申请这个服务很简单, 只要到这个网站Sign up, 输入你的域名, 接着你就变成了这个邮局的Administrator, 然后就会显示出需要在域名服务商那里更改的MX Record (Mail Exchange Record) 接着去域名提供商那里修改就好啦. 我的空间商是1&1, 据说是现在最大的空间商,比一般的便宜, 但更改起DNS或其他变动起来, 超级慢, 一般准备等30分钟吧.

激活你的邮局还算容易, 也就只是等update MX record比较烦, 开通你的Email Account就有点麻烦. 首先需要在Custom Domains的网站上, 也就是你刚刚创建的邮局添加一个新的用户(一共可以允许在一个Domain上建20个Email), 比如我要添加Werther@VirtualFly.net, 输入临时密码, 这样如果是给别人的话, 他可以有自己的密码, 还要到MSN Account Manage里边输入国家信息, 最后到www.Hotmail.com 用你的新Email Address和临时密码登录, 重复一次以前申请Hotmail的步骤, 就能用了.下图是我的新Hotmail Email Address:

遗憾的是没法跟现在的Hotmail帐户合并.空间只有2MB, 过段时间才能激活为250MB

虽然有段时间没用Hotmail而改用Gmail了(很喜欢Gmail的Search, Mail conversation以及AJAX的界面), 但Hotmail的这个功能很让人兴奋. 据说Windows Live将会推出Windows Live Mail, 同样使用AJAX技术, 界面类似Outlook, 再加上个性化的Email Address, 实在很酷!

最近一直在公司编写文档, 比如Testing Guide, Assembly Guide, Owner's Manual... 文档自然对结构性有要求, 不会再像高中作文那样分几个段落就好啦, 而是要做出比如最高Level: Chapter 1, 然后Section 1.1, 接着1.2.4之类的.之前的办法是用Word来写的, 不过一直都只是在Print View下编写. 对于文章结构, 顶多用一下Bullets and Numbering功能来自动显示出section 1.3.2之类的段落符号, 而文字的大小, 字体, 直接就在上边对每个需要的段落直接定义了. 也一直想找一些面对文档结构的文字处理软件, 可一直没找到.

前端时间偶然到MS Office去看了一眼, 主要是为了找怎么自动产生Table of Contents的方法. 却发现原来Word里边有这么多方便的功能, 以前一直比较关注网页的结构化, 内容与表现分离. 没想到Word文档早实现了这样的功能. 具体功能是Outline View, 还有Styel and Formatting.

Outline View是专门用来在面对文档结构的环境下编写文档的一个功能, 当编写文档时, 你可以切换到Outline View视角, 然后按照你所想象的结构, 先写出文档的一个大纲, 如上图, 而每一行都可以根据需要点上边的Demote图标改变它的Level, 比如文档名就是Level 1, Chapter是Level 2, Section是Level3, 而碰到段落而不是标题时, 就点边上的Demote to body Text, 把这个段落放到它所属的标题下, 当然段落是可以在任何一个Level的标题下. 之后你就可以用这种方法把你的整个文档"填"完. 这样做完手册之后, Word就可以根据你制定的文档结构自动产生文档目录, Document Map了. 要说明的是Outline View排出的结构与Numbering List是不同的, 当然你可以让所有的Chapter level变成numbering list, 让它们自动显示出Chapter 1, Chapter 2...

Style and Formatting是用来对文字进行修饰的工具, 概念与网页中的CSS非常相似. 你可以用这个功能来对所有Level 2, 也就是Headline 2的文字进行修饰, 意思是可以一次性把所有的Chapter标题全部改成你所喜欢的字体, 大小和颜色. 而当你选上Auto update以后, 只要你改一个Level 2的字体, 其他的也会自动改. 这样的目的一是方便维护, 二是让你的文档看着更整洁漂亮, 不仅如此, 由于对样式进行修改是面对文档结构的, 因此你的文档也会看着更加有结构性. 依此类推就可以修改掉其他的样式, , 比如Level 3 的Section 标题, 或者Body Text的段落文字等.

除此以外, MS Word 2003甚至还支持XML和CSS, 至于什么时候需要这些, XML在将Word文档转换成其他格式并保留结构不变时很有用, CSS吗, 自然要比Word自动的Style功能强很多. 现在还没深入研究.

可能这些小技巧70%的人都知道了吧. 不多对我等从来没受过专业学习的人, 才刚刚知道, 相见恨晚啊. 希望写的这些东西对剩下的30%的同志们有用. 下面列出几个Office网站上的Tranning Course

算算有好几年没怎么注意过华语歌坛了, 全改听Jazz了, 今天在VeryCD上无意间找到这张唱片, 抓下来听听, 一下就被第一首歌动听的旋律和嗓音抓住了, 推荐弄张来听听, 真的不错. 专辑由英文和粤语歌组成, Janice的声音和唱功绝对有潜力.

Adobe Creative Suite已经推出一段时间了, 一直没有关注这套产品, 今天在Borders看到一本叫做Sams Teach Yourself Adobe Creative Suite All in One的书, 大概翻了翻,主要是讲Creative Suite(Premium edition,contains Photoshop CS,Illustrator CS, InDesign CS, GoLive CS, Acrobat 7.0 Professional )中每个程序的作用, 如何运用每个程序来进行设计的整个流程, 第二部分是每个程序的一些基本操作, 最后用一个例子讲解运用整个Creative Suite的过程.

看过之后第一个感觉是, Adobe实在会赚钱, 有些东西明明可以一个软件就够了, 干吗搞那么复杂, 还要用上整个Suite, 要知道这整套价值可是$1229.00. 比如要做一个brochure, 按照Creative Suite的概念, 就是先用Illustrator CS设计Logo, 然后找出合适的图片, 用Photoshop处理图片, 这些元素文件都放到一个File Management system中, 叫做Version Cue, 然后用InDesign做页面设计, 再用Acrobat 7.0生成PDF文件做Review and commend, 最后用InDesign 或者Acrobat打印, 出版, 如果要发布成Web page, 可以从InDesign中导出一个Package转到GoLive中, 做成网页发布.

不过这整套软件一般的设计公司或部门应该都会用到的, 推出Creative Suite概念后, 确实让整个设计流程变的更加简单, 易于管理, 也更流畅了. 这里有个Adobe官方的关于Creative Suite对流程管理的Flash动画, 以及Product overview.

Digital Web给了刚刚出版的新书The Zen of CSS Design第一个Book Review,我在之前的Blog中提到过这本书,应该这个月25号就出版了,但现在书还没有到Amazon那里,现在显示的状态还是Pre-Order,1个月前定购了一本,不知道什么时候能到.

Yahoo Finds of the Year 2004中另一个荣获 Weird and Wonderful 奖的是The Ugliest Cars in Britain 有时候看到路上有些车, 实在是看着让人很不舒服, 比如一些傻大的美国车, 还有Toyota的一款敞棚车, 这个网站给了一个让人们评价这些失败设计的地方, 建议那些汽车设计师一定去看看, 因为有些车的设计实在让人受不了, 他们总得对得起我们得眼睛吧.

这个blog比较厉害, 唯一的内容就是关于鸡蛋,熏肉,薯条,沙子豆(Egg Bacon Chip Sandbeans), Blog的主人吃遍了英国大半餐馆的Egg Bacon Chip Sandbeans, 每家餐馆都写到他的Blog中, 2004年底, 他的Blog荣获了Yahoo Finds of the Year奖, 转张其中的这道菜的图片,好像很诱人的样子啊

他的另一个Blog是a good place for a cup of tea and a think 也介绍了很多可以喝杯咖啡, 能好好享受的地方.
